friday philosophy

sometimes i come across a quote that bears some kind of significance and i want to share it with you dear readers.  sometimes it's based on where i am in life or a certain event, sometimes a quote just reminds me of a friend, or sometimes it makes me think.  it's called 'friday philosophy' and i'm gonna keep it up weekly. (or try to!)

i love traveling.  i love hopping on a plane to jamaica or cruising through the hills of vermont.  anytime i'm not at home and i'm exploring and discovering a place i've never been, i'm a happy girl.

there are plenty of places i haven't been yet and want to go.  i feel like traveling is something that is hard to get sick of (if you love doing it).  there's always opportunity to see more, learn more, do more.

some of my favorite places i've even been are (in no particular order):

montego bay and negril, jamaica
san francisco, california
augusta, maine
axminster, devon, england
the grand canyon, arizona
leysin, switzerland
myrtle beach, south carolina
burlington, vermont
sydney, australia
gettysburg, pa
horton center, gorham, new hampshire
washington d.c.
orlando, florida
stratford-upon-avon, england
waikiki, hawaii
yellowstone national forest, wyoming
outer banks, north carolina
athens, greece
cooke city, montana
ruggles mine, grafton, new hampshire
baltimore, maryland
barcelona, spain
boston, massachusetts
crystal lake, enfield, new hampshire
nassau, bahamas
montreal, canada
fort lauderdale, florida

the reason these are my favorite places is because of the experiences i had.  i have great memories in these places, mostly with people i love.  and what i love most about the list is that it's never-ending.  throughout my life i'll be able to add to this list by making new memories in new places.

where are some of your favorite places?  where do you still want to go?

i'm looking forward to exploring more caribbean islands, more u.s. national parks, cities, ballparks, etc., and visiting the places our friends have made their own homes.  and i still want to go to africa, asia, and south america...just to get the visit-able continents on the list! =)

next up:  ocean city, maryland!

=) andrea

p.s.  remember last week's friday philosophy?  let me remind you...
